Subject: Important: Rolling Open House & Freshmen Orientation on Monday, August 12th Dear Bruin Family, As we prepare for another exciting school year at Camden Early College High School. I would like to invite you to our Rolling Open House and Freshmen Orientation, scheduled for Monday, August 12th, from 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM. Rolling Open House: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM We are introducing a Rolling Open House this year, allowing students and parents to tour the Early College at your convenience between 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM. During this time, you will have the opportunity to: • Pick up your schedule • Visit with teachers, including those from JROTC and Band • Meet with me, the Principal, as well as our Student Support Team • Speak with our Parent Action League (PAL) representatives • Connect with our Transportation staff (available from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM) • Meet with our School Resource Officer, Mr. Murray (if available) Please note that this will be the only opportunity to tour the Early College before the school year begins. Recommendation for 9th Grade Students: We strongly recommend that all 9th-grade students attend the Rolling Open House starting at 2:45 PM, which will allow you to transition seamlessly into the Freshmen Orientation at 3:00 PM in the cafeteria at Camden County High School. Freshmen Orientation: 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM The Freshmen Orientation will be held in the cafeteria of Camden County High School from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM. I will be presenting important information regarding the expectations for the upcoming school year. Additionally, JROTC and Band will be giving brief presentations. Camden Early College High School students this is a reminder that our First Day of School is August 13.

Dear Bruin Family, Our Open House and Freshmen Orientation will now take place on Aug. 8 to Monday, Aug. 12. Our Open House will now operate as a Rolling Open House where students and parents will be able to stop by the Early College between the hours of 1pm-3pm. During this time you will be able to pick up your schedule, visit teachers including JROTC and Band, talk to *Principal Castillo, the Student Support Team, our Parent Action League (PAL), Transportation staff (2:30pm-3:30pm), and our school Resource Officer Murray if available. Our Freshmen Orientation will take place in the cafeteria of CCHS from 3:00pm-3:45pm. Here Mr. Castillo will make his presentation on expectations for the Early College. *Mr. Castillo will be making a brief presentation during the Rolling Open House on CECHS expectations for this year at the following times: 1:15pm, 1:30pm, 1:45pm, 2pm, 2:15pm, 2:30pm. Their incredible commitment to ensuring the safety of our students during their journeys to and from school deserves recognition. Spring Sports - Attention Spring Sports athletes: To secure your spot at tryouts, submit all necessary documents to Coach Harnly, including an updated physical, academic eligibility confirmation, and completed paperwork. Coach Harnly will then issue a tryout ticket, which is essential for participation. You need to be cleared by Coach Harnly before you get a ticket. He will be available during lunch periods on Thursday, February 8th and Friday, February 9th. Pay attention to announcements leading up to the scheduled tryouts on February 14th and 15th. Coach Harnly and our Spring Coaches will provide additional information, so stay tuned. Students, please ensure you listen to announcements, and make sure you see Coach Harnly this Thursday and Friday during your lunch period.

Camden County Offices at 117 North NC 343 will be hosting Trick or Treat Tuesday, October 31st from 3pm-6pm with Candy, bounce house, Food & Beverage Vendors and Free Hot Dogs!

Due to the potential threat of weather, Camden County Schools will have an 11:30 early release day on Friday, September 22, 2023.
